My name is Kat and I am an entrepreneur. I live in the beautifully picturesque Scotland with my 3 young kids and husband Ross. I guess you could say since having children my drivers have changed. All my desires boil down to creating the best and most fulfilling life for my family, giving them adventures and creating memories that will last forever.
3 years ago I was working as a Bank Branch Manager for a large corporation. I had a great career of 17 years, surrounded by great people and believed this was what I would do for the rest of my life. After falling pregnant with my third little babe, I realised this ‘dream job’ was missing something crucial – a Work Life Balance. My husband and I were like ships passing in the night, Ava and Max barely saw me and i realised something had to change.
I started to have an overwhelming feeling that there was more to life than working full time for the rest of my working life. After I had Poppy I decided to look for a new way of working. Starting my own business has been one of the best decisions and experiences of my life.
I was a complete beginner in a new industry but learned how to perform at a high level despite my fears. In my first 2 consecutive years in business I was ranked in the top 5 in Scotland – an accolade I still hold proudly. I learned self-resilience and how to surround myself with the right people but most of all i learned how to be with my family again. Time is THE most important thing in my life. Everything I do is an attempt to turn back time Or create more.
This is most probably why I love the film Back to the future. I always dreamed of being the mum at the school gates, the mum who was able to attend all the important childhood moments that only ever happen once. I knew i didn’t want to cut my maternity leave short and return to work, however at the same time I knew I didn’t want to compromise my income. I believe everyone deserves this choice.
My life now revolves around helping others to accomplish their dreams, their goals and their true worth in life. I am passionate about supporting, inspiring and watching others grow and achieve what they truly deserve in life.
